Logan, this is amazing. I love the portraits alternating with the drive and, as usual, the prose is devastating

Thanks, Will! You're one of the folks that inspired me to play with the structure with this and try something a bit different. So I really appreciate the compliment.

It really works!

devastating is 100% the word i was looking for. brb, i'm off crying in my dedicated post-logan corner for a bit

It may sound strange, but I too have a post-logan corner where I tuck myself away for an hour after I publish something new! Thank you for reading.

I really love the imagery you use. This was very well written.

Thank you! This was probably the most experimental piece I’ve shared here yet. I wasn’t sure if anyone would enjoy it. So, I really appreciate the compliment.

You have such a knack for rhythm!! It’s like reading music.

Wow, what a beautiful compliment. You have made the writer and singer in me very happy today. Thank you, NJ!

The song is fantastic! I like the woodsy kind of placement of the vocals. that doesn't make a lot of sense but I'm too sleepy to elaborate. and the text is absurd. You have a very lyrical voice.

Thanks, Molly! I love the Fleet Foxes so much, only second to Radiohead/Thom Yorke which I almost chose to cover instead of this. One of the reasons why I love FF is because of the harmonies and how they have that ethereal woodsy quality to them. So I definitely understand what you mean, and it means a lot knowing that I was able to communicate that too. When you say lyrical voice, do you mean the writing or my actual voice? 😂 I’ll gladly accept either as a huge compliment.

lyrical voice = writing voice! But your real voice as well!

Whoa! That’s a double compliment! Thank you! You folks are going to make my ego blow up. 🤯

I still miss that girl so much. Thank you for reading this strange non linear entry of the Logaverse, my friend.

Listening to this song with shower acoustics. You’re more lovely every day, Logan. I’ll be back to the comments after reading—

Awwww, thank you! That’s so kind of you to say. I’m still working on my mixing skills, but shower acoustics is a nice way to describe it. I hope you dig the vocals. But if you didn’t and still like the music, definitely recommend some Fleet Foxes. Perfect winter/autumn music.

Love fleet foxes and loved this rendition. Your voice is awesome. I actually listened to it five times to be honest.

Yes! Finally, another fan of Fleet Foxes! Thank you for the compliment. Was hoping my singing wouldn’t put folks off and people would give me a shot. Thank you for listening, multiple times. Means a lot to me. ❤️ All the kindness I’ve been shown might push me to dip a little more into music and maybe even share some original work next year.

Oh man, thank you Sean! It was somewhat terrifying putting myself out there as a wannabe singer and all. Especially to cover one of my favorite songs from a favorite band. But I thought it would be something a little extra cool to end the year on. :)

You are not a wannabe! You're very good. ✨

I appreciate it! You folks have been so encouraging, it inspires me to share more of my creative indulgences for next year.

So good, Logan. Crushing as always, and perpetually beautiful.

And you killed it with the Featherweight cover, perfectly paired with this piece.

Thanks, Bob! I was hoping someone would enjoy the whole thing, including the song! Thank you for reading AND listening! I appreciate it.
